A No Brainer - Andy Roddick and Brooklyn Decker
I resisted calling this piece Dumb and Dumber, because in all fairness, I don’t know anything about Brooklyn Decker and had never heard of her before she became engaged to tennis star Andy Roddick.
The story goes, according to rumor, that Andy courted Brooklyn in true Hollywood style. He saw her picture in the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated and had his agent track down her phone number. Doesn’t that just give you a case of the warm fuzzies? It’s almost, almost, as romantic as Heidi Klum seeing Seal in his bicycle shorts and falling for his package.
Brooklyn Decker is a 20 year old swimsuit model and she and Andy Roddick might actually be a good match. He’s probably not interested in her for her brain….. not now, not ever. The couple became engaged in early March and plan to enjoy a lengthy engagement.
The cynic in me fast forwards to when he’s not a top tennis star and she doesn’t have a swimsuit figure. Will they still care for one another, when they are not a couple of “hotties”? Time will tell.

I saw Oprah’s interview of Heidi Klum & Seal that day. Heidi has such a delightful personality, and she and Seal seem so genuinely happy together, that the remark about the bike shorts didn’t come across as crass as it sounds reading about it later. That’s one couple I have hopes for making it for the long term.

I saw that interview too and it was almost kind of cute, but I don’t like Heidi Klum, so it’s hard for me to be objective. I like Seal and hope it works out just fine, but Heidi Klum has crazy in her eyes. I don’t even like to think of those crazy eyes of hers bugging out when she saw “the bulge”. Yikes.
Whoa…just watched this clip you posted…tell me it was just for laughs this tennis star responded to the questions this way…DUMB is putting it mildly…ah well he is one helluva tennis player…and we do not all have the same gifts I suppose…which makes life ….well..interesting indeed…love L
Hi Linda, well it certainly is good for a laugh, but the guy is the real deal! He’s been too busy playing tennis to know of Ewes and Triffids. It hasn’t worked out all that badly for him though. He’s rich and he gets to point to the girl he wants from the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue…… and get her!
How they met is very fabricated. She introduced herslef to him at a party, planned the whole thing to meet him that night accidentally, traded numbers, she called him many times until he agreed to go out with her. My sister went to hs with her. We know what she told people in town.
